'Silent House' to vie at Golden Apricot filmfest

Iranian documentary 'Silent House' has been scheduled to vie at the Yerevan Golden Apricot International Film Festival (GAIFF) in Armenia.

The documentary directed by Farnaz Jourabchian will represent Iran at the main competition section of the 20th edition of the event.

Produced by Elaheh Nobakht, 'Silent House' tells the story of a family in Tehran during a number of decades.

The film is a coproduction of Iran, Canada, France, the Philippine and Qatar.

The Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival aims to “to build bridges and foster dialogue between different cultures”, website of the event reads.

The GAIFF “welcomes films representing diverse ethnic groups, religions, and nations that depict the human experience”.

The 20th edition of the event will be held on July 9-16, 2023.
